The ideal time is between 28-32weeks of pregnancy.

This can be done as early as 12weeks and up to 20weeks.

• Hydration is key: Boost the amount of amniotic fluid around your baby by staying well-hydrated. Aim to drink at least 3 liters of water daily for a minimum of 5 days leading up to your appointment. Ample hydration ensures clearer fluid, resulting in sharper images.

• Encourage movement: A cold and sugary drink can sometimes work wonders in waking up baby! While a sleeping baby is undeniably adorable, it's ideal for them to be slightly awake during the scan to witness their eyes opening and capture some facial expressions. Consider observing your baby's movements during the day and choose a time for the appointment when they are usually more alert.

Unfortunately somtimes, dependent on babies position, placental location and amount of amniotic fluid we may not always get the images we want. We do however try our best to get the best pictures possible.

Your images will be sent to your nominated email address. If you’re opting for the digital frame, the frame will be available for collection 24-48hrs post imaging.

We only allow one extra person in the room during the appointment.
